Textual analysis of the items

Each item of the database that represents a version of the tale of Wu Song and the tiger is analyzed according to a number of features, listed below:

• textual unit
• storyline
• prose/verse
• narrator type
• fixed phrases
• proper names
• stock phrases

Each textual unit, episode or phrase can be clicked on to produce a list of story versions in which it occurs. Each story title in this list can then be clicked on to produce further information on that particular version of the story.
